Hyundai India Launches New Santro With The Price Tag Of Rs. 3.89 lakh
Finally the Hyundai Motor India Limited has launched the all generation next Santro hatchback again in the Indian car market with the price tag of Rs. 3.89 lakh. It is offered in petrol variant, followed petrol AMT and petrol CNG version with manual gear transmission system. The price of petrol variant with manual gear transmission varies from Rs. 3.89 lakh to Rs. 5.45 lakh, followed by AMT variant ranging between Rs. 5.18 lakh and Rs. 5.46 lakh and petrol with CNG kit offered with the price between Rs. 5.23 lakh and Rs. 5.64 lakh. The new Santro will be placed between Eon and Grandi10 and will compete with Maruti Suzuki Celerio, Renault Kwid 1-litre, Tata Tiago and upcoming Maruti Suzuki Wagon R.
Mechanically, the new Santro is empowered with 1.1 litre, 4 cylinder, naturally aspirated engine that generates the power of 69 bhp and the torque of 99Nm. The transmission duty is performed by five speed manual gear transmission system along with an option of five speed AMT system. Both the variants are endorsed to deliver the fuel efficiency figure of 20.3 kmpl. The CNG variant is energized with 8 kg CNG tank and reported to deliver the fuel efficiency of 30.48 km/kg. The CNG variant is embellished with duel ECUs for switching between petrol and CNG option, followed by matrix injector and a filter valve for improved performance and safety.
On the exterior front it receives swept black headlamps, Hyundai’ s signature grille with chrome surround, the plastic grille at the front fascia is stretched for integrating fog lamps. Based on the new K1 platform, the new Santro offers, substantial head and knee room for the passengers. Inside the cabin it receives seven inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports connectivity with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, mirror link and voice recognition, rear air conditioner vents, front and rear power windows, electronic ORVMs, rear wiper and washer, rear defogger, keyless entry and many more.
