Hyundai Santa Fe Automatic Launched at Rs. 24.36 Lacs

Hyundai Motors is again taking measures to give its SUV Santa Fe, a new kick in the Indian market. The Hyundai Santa Fe isn't getting a price cut, but an automatic six-speed gearbox. The new Hyundai Santa Fe Automatic comes with a price tag of Rs. 24.36 Lacs. But this is not a good thing for the company, as this price makes it fall in the range of entry level variants of BMW X1 Crossover. The main reason for high pricing of this Hyundai SUV is the complete import of Santa Fe by the country.

There is one more thing Hyundai has to think about. Toyota Fortuner, which is the segment leader in the country, will soon see its automatic sibling, which would thus spoil the market for Santa Fe automatic. Sources have revealed that Toyota is testing the automatic variant of Fortuner. However, Hyundai would look forward to take advantage with Santa Fe Automatic, till the Toyota Fortuner Automatic comes out in the market.

The Hyundai Santa Fe automatic has a 2.2L Gamma CRDI turbo diesel engine which is capable of producing 197Bhp peak power and 430Nm peak torque. It comes with two major changes, there is a push button start and a smart key. Other things remain the same as the standard manual transmission variant.

The automatic variant of Santa Fe is expected to better the sales figures of this SUV. Hyundai Motors should really think upon manufacturing this SUV in India, so that the price could be cut, making it a worthy competitor to the bestseller Toyota Fortuner. There is news that Hyundai is planning a Santa Fe Facelift Fluidic version.
