Hyundai to bring facelift Santa Fe in Indian car market during next year
Korean car maker Hyundai Motors is all set to launch the facelift Santa Fe in Indian car market during the early months of next year, hopefully during the Indian Auto Expo 2014. It will be for the first time that Santa Fe will be produced at company’s production plant located at Chennai as for this it has started assembling its parts. Prior to this company had brought Santa Fe through CBU route. Talking about the technical specifications it is speculated that the facelift Santa Fe will continue the same 2.2 litre diesel engine developing the power of 195 and available with both six speed automatic and manual transmission system. The upcoming model is expected to be offered with an option of automatic transmission system being introduced in front wheel drive model.
It is expected that company will try to remove the weaknesses of the existing model of Santa Fe which will help in improving its position in Indian car market. As far as the price of facelift Santa Fe is concerned industry experts believe it will be introduced with the starting price of Rs. 22 lakh.
It is reported that facelift Santa Fe has been witnessed undergoing test drive but nothing has been revealed as it was under covers. Although it is expected that the revitalized model will be more attractive than the existing variant. According to reports interiors of facelift Fe will be spacious providing sufficient seating space to seven passengers. Apart from this the facelift other expected vehicles from Korean car maker will be four meter sedan designed on Grand i10 platform followed by new i20.
