Hyundai Veloster spotted again, when is the launch?

Hyundai Veloster, the sports machine from the Korean stable is making buzz these days. It seems that Hyundai is playing the hide and seek game before it finally launches the Veloster in India. Equipped with all-new Gamma 1.6-liter engine, the Veloster price in India is expected to remain Rs 15 lakh. The premium hatchback has close to a sports car features and it will be one of the high priced Hyundai car in India.

Recently, the Veloster has been spotted in New Delhi streets and this has fuelled the anticipation that its launch is nearing. The Veloster launch date is though unconfirmed and reports suggest that by showcasing it at some of the selected dealerships, Hyundai is assessing the market for the premium hatchback. First showcased at the Auto Expo, the Hyundai Veloster has been the talk of the town even before the launch of the new Hyundai i20 and everybody was expecting a bonanza from the Koreans. The Veloster premium sports cars have initially received much response from car lovers in India.

Now that the Veloster is spotted and it has been in the reports, the India sports car enthusiasts are sure to collect in New Delhi to have a glimpse of the new Hyundai car that is also expected to be the economical version of a sports car. Besides, the launch of Veloster will be quite nearing or post the launch of Maruti Swift Sport in India, suggests sources. The car is expected to be priced somewhat lower than expected price of Rs 15 lakh. The under the hood department will be taken care of by the 1.6 L petrol engine that will have a power output capacity of 140 bhp and a peak torque capability of 167 Nm. The new Hyundai car in India will have a six speed manual transmission in place.
