India bound Ford Figo “KA” receives warm welcome in Brazil
Ford Figo Aka “KA” the advanced version of Figo hatchback by U.S. based car maker was successfully launched in Brazilian car market last month. The hatchback is being developed by its Brazilian alliance Ford Brazil from where it would be sold across the world, alike its elder sibling EcoSport and therefore it is not expected that soon the Ford Figo “KA” would make its debut in Indian car market. Industry players believe that the hatchback would be launched sometimes in the beginning of the next year and would be advanced version of existing Figo hatchback. It is also speculated that car maker will also bring a compact sedan showcased during the Indian Auto Expo 2014 held earlier this year along with Ford KA.
To begin with the features adorned in both KA hatchback and KA Duo compact sedan they will be empowered with new 1.0L TiVCT (Twin Independent Variable Camshaft Timing) naturally aspirated 3-cylinder engine boosting the power of 85bhp at 6500rpm and torgque of 105Nm at 4500rpm. Apart from this the KA Duo would be also empowered with 1.5 liter 4-cylinder petrol carried from its sibling EcoSport followed by 1.5 litre diesel engines in both cars for Indian car market.Talking about the design of both the cars they would be based on Ford’s Kinetic 2.0 design philosophy which would be similar to refreshed fiesta. According to reports the new cars will carry most of their features from the upgraded Fiesta.
The other common features shared in both the cars include SYNC audio system supporting connectivity with AppLink and Emergency assistance. The advanced audio system facilitates the users to connect their smartphones with car and access few applications from their mobile with help of voice controls. On the other side Emergency assistance system facilitates you to acquire emergency services in case of any emergency.
