India Bound Honda City Caught Under Lenses In Thailand
It was almost five years back when Japanese car maker Honda Motors had launched the facelift version of its premium sedan City in the Indian car market. Now the Japanese auto giant is going to launch the new generation of the City in India. Recently, the spies caught the new City going under test drives in Thailand with huge covers, thus not giving a singly glimpse to speculate about its look. But, gave an indication of its soon launch in India.
Depending upon the images captured by the spies the next generation of City will receive enlarged dimensions both the in the terms of both width and length. That means the new City will receive the new design pattern as offered in the generation next of Accord, however, it is just a speculation due to its completely covers, during the test drive.
Under the hood, it will receive the upgraded diesel engine which would be strictly according to BS-VI norms. The top end diesel variant might also receive the new diesel 0CVT engine which also works in the new compact sedan Amaze. Along with these engine configurations the company is also planning to bring the petrol-hybrid variant with competitive price tag. This hybrid version will although different from the hybrid version that is sold in international car market.
Speaking about the features nothing has been so far revealed by the car maker, but still on the basis of the images captured by the spies it can be said that new wraparound headlights will receive the LED lamps, mounted on the side of new enlarged grille. The rear front also receives the new design philosophy with corners going little bit down, similar to other Honda cars.
