Jeep to Launch Grand Cherokee Trailhawk in December

After making its entrance in Indian car market with its Indian alliance Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in August this year, American can maker Jeep is all set to introduce third product in its fleet which would be christened as Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk. Reported to be launched in December this year, the Trailhawk is considered as an advanced version of Grand Cherokee series and adorns features like 18 inch Goodyear Advenbture off-road tires, red hooks for tow in the front and rear portions, new Trail and Trailhawk badges with red marks.

To be empowered with 3.6 litre V6 petrol engine boosting the power of 295 bhp and torque of 353 Nm, mated with eight speed automatic transmission, the Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk is expected to be priced Rs 15,000 lesser than Grand Cherokee launched in August 2016. It is reported that Grand Cherokee Trailhawk will be offered with Quadra-Drive II 4x4 driving option followed by rear Electronic Limited-slip Differential (ELSD), select speed control with hill-ascent and hill-descent control system, Quadra-Lift air suspension system developed especially for this version of Jeep offering enhanced articulation and improved suspension system during the travel. On the exterior front it will embellish skid plates and anti-glare hood decal as standard feature. Interestingly it also bestows removable lower front fascia which after removal gives Cherokee Trailhawk 36.1 degree approach angle and departure angle of 22.8 degrees.

Inside the cabin it will feature black interior customized with leather and suede performance seats, Trailhawk badge mounted on steering wheel, red stitching on seats, doors and console, gun-metal finish. Standard features offered in interior includes 8.4 inch Uconnect touch screen to detail wheel articulation, 4x4 features offered over suspension height and select terrain modes.
