Jeep To Launch Refreshed Grand Cherokee In November 2022

Jeep India, the Indian subsidiary of US carmaker Jeep, is all set to launch the refreshed Grand Cherokee in the Indian car market in the mid of November this year. The deliveries will begin in December 2022. The new Grand Cherokee will be placed above the Jeep Meridian and is expected to come with a price tag of Rs 85 lakh (ex-showroom).

Jeep India started testing the Cherokee SUV at the beginning of this year. It would be interesting to know that this time, the SUV will be assembled in India. It will be the fourth vehicle from the carmaker that will be assembled in India. Before this, the company had assembled the Wrangler, Compass and Meridian SUV in India. In India, the company will launch its standard five-seat variant. According to company sources, India will be the first international market to receive the Cherokee SUV assembled out of North America.
 
Under the hood, the 2022 Grand Cherokee will receive the power from a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine mated with an eight-speed automatic gearbox as a standard feature. As far as the integration of the safety features is concerned it will come equipped with ADAS features. It will come with a four-wheel drive option.
 
Speaking about the design and styling, the new Grand Cherokee outsources its looks from Jeep Wagoneer and Meridian. It also receives features like a 10.1-inch central touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster and an additional dedicated touchscreen. As far as the integration of other features is concerned, the sources of the company have confirmed that it will also receive the third dashboard-mounted display, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, a powered tailgate, a head-up display, and leather upholstery.
