Mahindra Reva NXR launch on track, to appear with Mini Xylo and Verito CS

What if the Mahindra Reva did not work, the Mahindra Reva NXR is certainly going to win the race. Especially when petrol and diesel will be out of reach of the common man. In such a scenario the alternatively powered cars will be the real traffic pullers. Also, Reva NXR is going to plug all that was lacking on the earlier Reva electric car. As per the latest buzz, Mahindra is intact with its plan to launch the electric car Reva NXR later this year along with Mahindra Xylo Mini and Mahindra Verito CS.

It seems that Mahindra is on a mission to change the way people move in the cities particularly when petrol prices are expected to reach a mark of Rs 100 per litre by that time Reva is launched. Reva NXR along with other two upcoming Mahindra cars will be launched this Diwali and this is the right time for any car launch in India as most of the car buying happens at this time. For Reva NXR though anytime is the right time as it has no rival and it was the sole electric car and it seems to be the only electric car in the near future in its segment. However, Tata Nano Electric and Tata Indica EV are also on the cards but there has been no significant development on the projects.

Unveiled at the Auto Expo, NXR Reva has been caught testing in Chennai and Bangalore several times and it is expected that the launch will change the mindset of people of India who are seemed to be biased against electric cars. Also, the terrible failure of battery operated two wheelers could also dent the prospects of EV cars in India as it has built up a negative feedback for the electric or battery operated vehicles.
