Mahindra Reva NXR to hit the Indian roads next year

Presently, the Electric vehicle section of the Indian market is ruled by Mahindra Reva, who is the only car producers in this section. They recently announced that they will be launching their much awaited electric car Mahindra Reva NXR by the next year.

The car is expected to be more spacious and will have improved interiors as compared to its predecessor, Mahindra Reva I. It is also speculated to be equipped with a better engine.

Mr R Chandramouli the Operations Chief for Mahindra Reva said that currently, the Bangalore plant is installed with equipments to ensure a production of 15,000 units annually and the capacity can be increased to 30,000 annually if needed.

He also said that the new Mahindra Reva NXR will have a high efficiency and would be able to cover a distance of 100 kms in one charge. Also, the car will be equipped with an optional battery, with which the buyers can power their car alternatively.

The car is expected to have a lithium ion battery or a lead acid battery.

The company has decided to put the car under the price range of 4to 5 lakhs.

It will not have any competitors as it will be the only electric car in the Indian auto market.
