The Inauguration of this plant was done by Anand Mahindra-the chairman and managing director of Mahindra. Mr. Mahindra said that India has limited market for Electric cars, as it cost more than gasoline, diesel or petrol vehicles because of their lithium-ion batteries which are imported. He also said that in-order to make electric car prices more affordable, Governments around the world should offer incentives to companies which build eco-friendly electric vehicles and lower cost batteries for these vehicles.
