Maruti Suzuki hiring new workers for 'Swift' Production
Maruti Suzuki has dimissed five more workers at the Manesar plant. The reason it has stated is that these five workers attacked three supervisors and a worker on last Friday. FIR has been lodged against these five workers. The automobile company dismissed five of its workers earlier, when the strike just broke off. IT has suspended 26 more permanent workers and 18 trainees.’
Maruti Suzuki has recruited 100 new people that have replaced the current permanent workers who are on strike since August 29. They gave these people their appointment letters today, as per a report from the company. The company is hiring more people in order to replace more existing workers as they have refused to sign the Good Conduct Bond. Earlier, the company had ruled out the possibility of compromise on any condition, and has said that it will continue to recruit new people.

The workers went on strike on August 29, when they were asked to sign the Good Conduct Bond by the company's management team. This had affected the production at the plant in a severe way. Dealers of Maruti Suzuki had to stop the bookings for its highest selling car Swift.
Now, the per day production figure for Swift has now reached 500 units. The figure before strike was 1,200 units (all models included) a day. According to the company, 104 workers have signed the Good Conduct Bond since August 29. There are 2,500 workers at Maruti Suzuki's Manesar plant, out of which 1,000 workers are permanent.
