There are no indications so far, to end-up the more than 30-day long standoff between the Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) management and its workforce. None of the two are ready to back off from their individual stand.
The MSI management has asked its workers to sign a good conduct bond on 29th of August, following the same they will be permitted to enter the production unit. Some major terms as per the good conduct bond were; the workers needed to confirm that they wouldn’t halt the work stating any invalid reason, stay-in-strike, be a part of any movement that could slow down the usual production in the company.
Sighting the refusal of the workforce the company had deployed new workers and continued the manufacturing in the factory.
Out of the 1500 employees available currently at the Manesar unit there are about 1120 newly hired trained technicians as said by MSI.
