Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza 2022: New Details Emerge Online
The country’s leading car manufacturing company Maruti Suzuki India Limited is all set to launch the next generation of compact SUV Vitara Brezza during the early months of 2022. Recently, the first images of the compact SUV were leaked online, giving a clear idea of its interior and exterior segments. Now according to fresh reports leaked online, the Indo-Japanese carmaker will now name the Vitara Brezza as Maruti Suzuki Brezza, rather than Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. The reason to remove the “Vitara” prefix from its name is due to Suzuki Vitara SUV being sold by Suzuki in the international market. It is rumoured that the company might even launch the same SUV in India as well. However, the official announcement regarding this is yet to be made by the company.
Under the hood, the 2022 Maruti Brezza will continue with the same existing 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine that churns the power of 103 bhp and the torque of 138Nm. Grapevine is that the company might replace the existing mild hybrid system with the more powerful 48V hybrid technology system. The new Brezza will also be available in the CNG version, and the transmission duties in all the variants will be performed by the option of both manual and automatic gearbox.
Speaking about the changes that would be offered in the new 2022 Brezza, it will receive the new body panels and chrome work on the exterior front. It will be developed on the new Heartect platform on which the new cars from Maruti Suzuki are developed. On the front fascia, there will be a new narrow grille with a Suzuki logo mounted on it and surrounded by chrome garnished plates.
The front fascia also receives a new bumper, headlamps, and fenders. The bonnet is also redesigned and receives a flat design. The wheel arches receive a new body cladding. The rear portion also undergoes changes, and receive newly shaped wraparound taillamps. The position of the number plate is also changed. Besides this, the rear bumper also receives black inserts and silver garnish on the faux skid plate.
Inside the cabin also it undergoes major changes. On the interior front, it will carry a factory-fitted sunroof and a 360-degree camera. It will also receive the features like a wireless charging system, a free-standing infotainment system that supports connectivity with a smartphone, a new digital instrument cluster, an automatic AC system, and paddle shifters. This feature will, however, be available on the top-end trims.
