More Than 14K Mahindra XUV700 Sold In Three Months
Domestic carmaker Mahindra & Mahindra launched its highly awaited SUV XUV700 on August 15, 2021. The company started the deliveries during the last week of October 2021. The interest of people for XUV700 can be witnessed from the fact that within a couple of its launch the company received more than 70,000 units till Diwali 2021.
According to recent reports, the company had achieved the milestone of selling over 14,000 units of the SUV till January 26, 2022. However, to achieve this target it took almost 12 days extra, as against its promise of selling 14K units by January 14, 2022. It would be interesting to know that with its launch, the XUV700 has emerged as a leader in the segment and has affected the dominance of Hector, Hector Plus, Harrier, and Safari.
Mechanically the XUV is available with two engine options of a 2.2-litre m Stallion turbo petrol engine, and a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine. The transmission duties in both versions include the option of a six-speed manual gearbox and a six-speed automatic transmission system. The top-end AX7 trim is available with an all-wheel-drive option.
To achieve the target of selling 14k units in 90 days, the company had considered a list of parameters including the obstacles in manufacturing of different trims, number of booking with dealers and according to cities, ratio of online booking and bookings with dealers, Along with this the company also informed the customers about the delivery of their SUV through their respective dealers. However, despite all these possibilities, there are chances that the production of XUV700 will be disturbed due delay in the supply of semiconductor chips.
According to reports delivered from the dealers, the waiting period for the SUV has gone high up to 88 weeks. The waiting period is long for the top-end trims. The XUV700 is offered in two trims namely MX and AX (AdrenoX).
