New BMW 7 Series all set to rock March next year, will take Audi A8 head on

The BMW 7 Series that was expected this year will be launched early next year. This is the latest revelation based on the various reports in the Indian auto industry. Notable, BMW F02 LCI codenamed & new 7 series car that has a long wheelbase and a lot of new features was expected to be launched this year but following the not so inspiring car sales in the pre-festive period, it seems that the German car maker has postponed the new 7 Series launch to next year. It is worth mentioning that the 7 Series has been one of the favorite and relatively best selling BMW car in the country and the car maker wished that with the launch of the new 7 Series, there will be a fresh impetus to the car sales in the country. Also, the car has given a new dimension to luxury and has strengthened the number one position attained by BMW cars in India.

 

The 7 Series is in production starting earlier this year and the new car will be launched in March next year. The 7 Series price in India is Rs 83.40 lakh to Rs 1.31 crore and this is a segment in which it competes with Audi A8 that starts at Rs 72,45,000 and goes up to Rs 1,26,00,000. It also competes with Jaguar XF, Mercedes Benz GL Class, Volkswagen Phaeton, Mercedes Benz E Class and Mercedes Benz C Class.

The new car has though slight but significant design changes that are highly apparent and are vociferously visible. Stretched wheelbase and new kidney grille besides some changes to the front appearance are some of the characteristics that will differentiate the new 7 Series with that of the existing generation. It is believed that the interiors will not be changes as the car maker wishes to continue the same luxury that has been very well accepted by customers.
