Recently, more details regarding the new BMW 7 Series have emerged as it is expected to be launched in the coming months with all new features. Primarily it is the exteriors of the 7 Series that are going to get most of the design changes. There is LED headlight assembly expected on the new 7 Series along with a new infortainment and navigation system inside. On the engine part, there will be hardly any changes except the addition of a new engine to the 730d model that is the most economical and low priced edition among the 7 Series cars. This model is the model that is the best selling BMW 7 Series car in India and it has also helped the car maker run over Mercedes in the ultra luxury car segment.

BMW 7 Series next generation models are also expected to welcome a new engine that is a three litre six cylinder ultra high powered turbocharged engine. This engine is expected to output a mammoth 381 bhp and around 740 Nm of peak power making the 7 Series no less than any of the super cars. Another important change for the European market will be the introduction of two options - rear wheel driven or all wheel driven. Since the 7 Series is imported as a completely built unit, it price is whooping high and BMW also has no immediate plans to manufacture it in India. While the S Class, which is its competitor and a segment leader, is assembled in India.
