New Fiat Linea coming in April, Abarth to follow in June

Time has come, it seems for the real action by the Italian car maker after a long hibernation period. As per sources information, the car maker is all set to launch new cars, new car brands and new showrooms and service stations in the country. To start with, the Fiat India will be launching the new model of its powerful sedan Fiat Linea T Jet turbo petrol. This is an immensely powered petrol motor driven model of the Linea and the car maker has all the more glittering launches on cards for this year. One of the most prominent among them is the launch of Abarth – the wing that imbibes more power to Fiat cars. It is reportedly known that Abarth launch in India will be in June this year. Notably, Fiat India has Jeep and Chrysler brand launches pending ahead as well.

The new T Jet engine powered Fiat Linea is part of Fiat’s strategy that it made public in which it said that it will stick to the sedan and Fiat Punto in its core stable and will rather be expanding the profile by launching cars from its other brands such as Jeep and Chrysler. Meanwhile, Fiat had also said that it will be launching more variants of the Punto and Linea in between and thus the current launch is part of the set strategy of the car maker. Already the car maker has launched the most powerful diesel hatchback Punto Sport and sending the growing popularity of this car Tata has just launched the Tata Vista D90 hatch.

The T Jet engine powered new Linea sedan will become the most affordably priced car and as per sources its price will be under Rs 10 lakh. The 113 bhp, five speed manual geared car housed on 16 inch alloys and studded with so many features is among the sedan that have a touch of luxury and lot of performance. In the meanwhile, Fiat will also be expanding its dealership network to a 100 mark this year.
