New Fiat Linea sedan launched in Turkey, India launch still awaited
The Indian car market is upbeat with the reports that recently new Fiat Linea images have swarmed on the internet. Lately, there were aggressive discussions that the Italian car maker is in the process of launching the new 2013 version of its sole sedan in India – Fiat Linea. Meanwhile, there are also reports that the new Fiat sedan has been launched in Turkey. However, it is only the exteriors and some parts of the interiors that have received the facelift and the engine options remain the same. An India launch of the new model of Fiat Linea is highly awaited.

In India, the Italian car manufacturer offers only two cars – Fiat Linea sedan and another is hatchback car – Fiat Punto. Both these car could not manage to bring into reform in the respective segment and it seems that despite aggressive measures taken by the car maker, the sales didn’t pick up. It is notable that where Fiat cars are struggling to have customers, Fiat 1.3 L multijet engine is powering some of the best selling cars in India including Maruti Ertiga, Maruti Swift, Maruti Swift Dzire and Maruti Ritz besides Tata Indica and there is a possibility that the Premier Rio SUV will also have this BSIV compliant engine under hood soon.

As part of the design changes on the new Linea, it has got a new grille and headlamps besides new bumpers, all giving a glimpse of the earlier generation of Hyundai Verna. Meanwhile, the new Fiat Linea images have also leaked and all suggest that the new Fiat Linea launch is round the corner. Also, it is almost the ripe time for the car maker to lunch the new avatar of the Linea when other cars such as Hyundai Verna, Honda City, Ford Fiesta and others are getting response in leaps and bounds.
