New Ford Endeavour to kiss Indian roads by end of 2015
Based on Everest Concept Ford’s appreciating SUV Endeavour would be launched in Indian car market by the end of next year in completely new avatar. The American car maker had showcased the Endeavour based on Everest concept during the Beijing Motor Show 2014 held earlier this year. After launch the Endeavour 2015 would compete against existing SUV’s like Santa Fe from Hyundai Motors, Pajero Sport from Mitsubishi and especially with its strong contender Fortuner from Toyota. With an objective to keep the price of Fortuner competitive it is will be assembled locally in Indian car market.
The version of Ford Endeavour to be launched in Indian car market will be empowered with two engine options of 2.2 litre and 3.0 litre four cylinder diesel engines and would be offered with manual or automatic transmission system. Apart from being based on Everest concept it will embellish remarkable features like dynamic trapezoidal front grille, chrome wing windows, big wheel arches, newly developed fog lamps and new bumper, new body graphics and 16 inch alloy wheels.
Company has already started testing the SUV and according to reports the new Endeavour is more broader than the existing version of Endeavour. The other interesting features which are expected to be offered in interiors include connectivity with Bluetooth, reverse parking camera, touchscreen entertainment system etc. Moving ahead the top end variant is speculated to be equipped with leather finish inside the cabin.
