New Ford Figo launch nearby, revamped exteriors, better fuel economy in the offing

Car makers in India seem to be in a hurry to launch the cars before the ‘Maha’ Summer of car buying – Diwali festive season sets in. Where the auto industry has been anticipating the Ford EcoSport from the American car maker’s abode, it seems that the little baby Ford Figo will also have a new avatar en route. The new Figo has been spied, clicked and assessed in depth for what’s-new features.

Notably, the Figo small car, specially the diesel model has been a great hit in the Indian industry and it is considered the best among the top three. The two are Maruti Swift and Hyundai i20. The Ford Figo price in India starts at Rs 3.81 lakh and the new model should being with it a slight price reduction if it is to get an edge in the market over the new entrants such as Toyota Etios Liva that is making much abuzz in the industry.

In all probability Ford will be keeping its focus on the diesel car as the petrol variants seems to lack any robust future ahead when the petrol prices are soon to take another upward swing soon.

The new Figo launch seemed almost sure as Hyundai has already given a touch of fluidicity to the i20 and Maruti has already made its Swift more Swifter by giving it an upmarket exteriors and interiors. However, the new Figo’s exterior appearance will make the car stand robustly in front of its opponents and could beat them in some respects.
