New Ford Figo launched at Rs 3.85 lakh

Ahead of the festive season car buying that will start tomorrow, Ford motors has launched the new Ford Figo starting at a price tag of Rs 3.85 lakh. The diesel Figo starts at Rs 4.82 lakh and at these prices, the car has entered the festive season best car chart. The new Figo will not only add many numbers to the sales chart but it will also be adding fear among its rivals including the Maruti Swift, Skoda Fabia, Chevrolet Beat and others. However, the soon to enter Chevrolet Sail hatchback will be giving this car a close fight and it is to be seen which of the two American car makers will be at the win win situation.

The Figo small car has been the bestselling car by Ford since its launch in India and it once gave a very close fight to the segment leader Swift. However, following one or the other factors as well as entry of newer rivals the car had to succumb to low demand. The new entrants Renault Pulse, Nissan Micra and other have greatly impacted Figo sales and it is expected that this new car with upgraded looks and features will give it a fresh start. Among the changes that the new Figo has adopted, the appearance facelift of the front is the major one. New grille, new headlamps and new tail lamps besides some design touches here and there are distinctly visible.
 

Available in eight variants, the new Figo will have four variants in petrol and four for diesel. The top of the line models will have alloy wheels and new shades. The power delivery remains the same with the 71PS petrol and the 69 PS diesel option. The five speed transmission also remains the same and with its remains the trust and dependability quotient of the car that has made it an instant hit when it was first launched in India.
