New Ford Figo might launch soon

The Chevrolet Sail is creating much commotion in the small car segment in the country and so is the Maruti Alto 800. Where the one has inspired Ford to go for an update of the Ford Figo, the other has prompted Chevrolet to launch a makeover of the small car Chevrolet Spark. All these cars in turn fear the coming of Maruti Alto 800 which is launching on the October 16. The new Ford Figo though will sit about the price segment at which the Alto 800 will be launched but since the car is feared to sweep the entire small car segment to its side so every other car maker is in the process of entering the damage control mode and offering a new car or launching a makeover of the existing one are the only two options left with the car makers.

Meanwhile, the Figo will also be losing some ground to the Honda Brio Automatic that is launching on the October 18. Thus the current framework is against all the small cars in India and it is high time for the car makers to do something before the Alto 800 arrives and makes the turf difficult for them. Though the Figo stand above the price at which the new Maruti car will be offered but it is believed that the equations in the small car segment will change drastically after the Alto 800 will be in.

So what will be new on the Figo. Is it just the headlamps, grille or the new shades or will there be some power boost and styling changes on cards. The recent renderings of the new Figo reveal that it will not be a major facelift and will be aimed at just cosmetic updates. There will be no under the hood department portfolio shuffle and the same engine line up options will there.
