New Honda City launch may postponed sighting Thailand disaster
The Japanese auto maker in India; Honda, is going through an extremely awful time this year as Honda’s Thailand based manufacturing units have flooded with water. The natural calamity; which is said to be the worst hit since last 50 years, has left people’s life and assets in great dismay. Honda Motor’s regional hub for producing vital auto components is situated in Thailand that is smack down by floods that has till now left 350 individuals’ dead along with around 100 people missing.
The devastation had not only affected Honda in Thailand, but also hit the firm’s production plants and sales worldwide; due to unavailability of the key spare parts. In the nation; where the company is known as Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI), it has started feeling the shortage of spares.

Now, the awaited car launch of the company 2012 sedan Honda City is expected to be interrupted because of the unavailability of components. The visible changes that new sedan Honda City will sport are to be majorly on the outer appearance of the car; that will make it re-energized.
The 2012 Honda City will feature a renovated front grille along with a sporty appearance; thanks to the new entire black air-dam. The ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors) will now also work as the side indicator, on the older City the turn indicators were only next headlamps, chrome finished door handles will be witnessed in the 2012 Honda City.

Looking at the current ambiguity the launch will not be possible, which was supposed to be in November. But it is expected to happen in 2012 India Auto Expo. As a result, Honda will carry on selling its present car models.
Also the production of Honda Brio and Jazz has been disrupted due to shortage of components.
The intensity of floods is so much that the Japan based carmaker had to suspend the launch of its chief product the all new 2012 Honda CR-V Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) in the US auto sector, sighting unavailability of spares from Thailand.
