New Honda City launched in Thailand
After receiving overwhelming response from Indian audiences, Japanese auto giant has launched its generation next Honda City sedan in Thailand with price tag of 5.5 lakh Baht (Rs. 10.5 lakh INR) for standard model and going up-to 7.49 lkah Baht (Rs. 14.3 lakh) with top SV+ variant. However in Thailand Japanese auto maker has launched Honda City only in petrol variant and has kept the launch of diesel variant in its pipe line for future. The new Honda City is equipped with four cylinder 1.5 litre i-VTEC engine churning the power of 117 bhp and torque of 146 Nm and is launched in six models with option of five speed manual and seven speed CVT automatic transmission system.

The interiors of cars have been offered with rear air condition vents, push button start, touch screen infotainment system, cruise control. steering mounted audio control, touch screen climate, leather upholstery and various others. Apart from this company has also integrated various safety features like ABS, Hill start assist, VSA stability control and emergency stop signal as standard features in all models. According to sources of company it focuses on sales of 60,000 units of Honda City in Thai market every year.
In the words of Mr. Pitak Pruittisarikorn, Executive Vice President, Honda Automobile (Thailand), the new Honda City represents the fourth generation of Honda City family and is equipped with all comfort features which were not offered in its erstwhile generations. According to Mr. Pruittisarkiorn the new Honda City will set a benchmark for other cars in it segment.
