New Honda City to debut in Brazil soon
Following the launch of all new facelifted version of its flagship sedan Honda City in the Indian market a few months back, the Japanese auto giant Honda is now looking forward to launch this model in the Brazilian market very soon. Recently, partially covered in camouflaging test mule of new Honda City facelift was spotted testing on Brazilian roads.
The new 2012 Honda City facelift will be carrying only a few cosmetic changes as compared to the existing version of the car in Brazil. The majority of the upgrades are one exterior front which is comprises of new chrome grill at front with newly designed bumper, reflectors mounted on rear bumper, new more stylish tail lamps and new ORVM (Outside Rear View Mirrors) on which turn indicators are mounted. While the lower variants of the car will be offered with 5 spoke alloy wheels, the top end variant will come with 10 spoke alloy wheels.

The car is expected to be shelved in the price segment of 54 000 Brazil Reais (about INR 15 lakh), where it will be competing with the likes of Chevy Cobalt, Fiat Siena and Nissan Versa. However, the engine offered with the new Honda City facelift in India may be upgraded before launching its Brazilian model due to high ethanol fuel of Brazilian market.

In India, the Honda City model is available with a 1.5L petrol engine and has been a segment leader since its launch in the country. The car competes with the likes of Volkswagen Vento, Nissan Sunny, Skoda Rapid, Hyundai Verna and Maruti SX4.
