New Honda City Unveiled today at New Delhi
Japanese car maker Honda Motors today unveiled its highly anticipated next generation Honda City in New Delhi today. An interesting feature of generation next Honda City is that it is for the first time company has introduced it in diesel variant which is equipped with 1.5 litre iDTEC engine that prevails in its sibling Honda Amaze and produces the power of 98 bhp and torque of 200 Nm. On the other side petrol variant has been modified with 1.5 litre iVTEC engine producing the power of 116 bhp and torque of 146 Nm. Both variants are mated with five speed manual gearbox, however petrol variant also offers an option of five speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters.
The new Honda City is designed on Exciting H Design philosophy which is expected to be used while designing the architecture of forthcoming cars from Japanese car maker. The longer wheelbase where at one side enhances its looks on the other side also provide extra cabin space as compared to existing model of Honda City. The additional feature integrated in new Honda City includes LCD infotainment system with reverse parking camera and eight speakers. The rear air conditioner vents have been supported with four charging points. Apart from this sunroof, cruise control, touch panel for air com are some noticeable features. It can be said that Honda has not left any effort to make new Honda City the best sedan in its segment.
The company will release new Honda City for sale sometimes during the month of January 2014 will announce its price at same time. After launch it will be a strong contender for Vento from Volkswagen, Scala from Renault, Fiesta from Ford, Verna from Hyundai and few more cars in its segments.
