New Mahindra Xylo design changes lures customers, bookings flood in

Since the launch of the new Mahindra Xylo, it has almost stunned the car buyers in the MPV segment. Being big enough to accommodate seven six footers, the new Xylo also has 50 in styling and other features compared to the old model that make it a must buy in the segment. But the launch of its mini avatar which is the Mahindra Quanto at a price of Rs 5.82 lakh indicates that the SUV maker wishes people to think small and get big. The new Xylo which is much inspired by Mahindra XUV 500, the world SUV has many design cues from this Cheetah inspired SUV. Also, the new styling has not only improved the looks, it has also given a boost to the features.

The new Xylo is a close competitor of the Maruti Ertiga in its own segment and the Renault Duster and Premier Rio as India misunderstands SUVs to MUVs. The design changes have helped the car become more acceptable as far as the looks and other features are concerned. Now the car looks more harmonized and has a more appealing exterior even better than the Toyota Innova and Chevrolet Tavera. Right from the front facia, headlamps and the bumper to the last corner inside; the car has many design changes based on customer feedback as well as design engineering for comfort and convenience.

In addition to the design changes, the new Xylo also got the mHawk 2.2 L engine in addition to the 2489 mDI CRDe engine range. The 120 PS power mHawk engine has also made it utterly powerful and performing besides making it fuel efficient as well. It is this 2.2 L engine that has been downtoned and used under the hood of Quanto in the three pot avatar.
