New Maruti Swift to launch this August
With release of new Maruti Swift in offing this August, all the old bookings of the car have been stopped by the company. Some of the Maruti Suzuki showrooms on being visited by sources have confirmed that the old bookings of the Maruti Swift (existing models) have been stopped completely due to the coming of the new version of the Maruti Suzuki Swift in August 2011.
It is said that the most anticipated and awaited hatchbacks will come with a newer design and will be more rounded and also the interior space would be increased making the car more comfy for the customers. Supposedly the new Maruti Suzuki Swift will have a petrol engine of 90 bhp and the timing of the intake and exhaust valves will be more due to the introduction of the new dual variable valve timing, making the emissions lower and increased mileage, thus giving it a better drive for which Maruti Swift is already very popular.

Having said so much about the Maruti Swift and its features, the car’s diesel engine could remain at 75 bhp with the 1.3 multijet units that are inexpensive and yet a world class performer. The New Maruti Swift will have a hike of 30 thousand rupees when compared to the older version, however, considering the positive changes to the new Swift that have been made by Maruti the hike in price shouldn’t be a trouble at all for its customers.
All eyes are on the new Maruti Swift and the huge demand which will be created in the market for the car. What is however to be seen is how the company manages to bridge the demand gap with its production output.
Some of the popular hatchback models in the Indian auto market are Toyota Etios Liva, Ford Figo, Hyundai i10, Chevrolet Beat and Volkswagen Polo. Apart from these popular models, cars going to hit the Indian roads this year are Chevrolet Beat Diesel, Maruti Cervo and New Ford Fiesta.
