New Mercedes C Class details, specifications available

The next generation Mercedes Benz C Class is awaited and after long been the most famous and best selling Mercedes car, the car is finally on to a track to get a new avatar. First arrived in 1993, the C Class is a compact executive car as it is called in the industry and it had replaced the Mercedes Benz 190 E car. Since 1993, Mercedes has added four generation to is it and now the 2014 Mercedes Benz C Class will be creating sensation in the market. In India, the present generation C Class is available in a saloon body styling and is priced starting at Rs 28.56 lakh.

Recently, the details and other specification about the new C Class were available and it seems that this fifth generation Mercedes car will be taking new BMW 3 Series and the Audi A4 sedan seriously. This will be the complete makeover contrary to the recent facelift in 2011 when some changes were made to the car in order to refresh it. As per the sources, the new  C Class has more streamlined body and has new headlamps as well as new grille. The roofline has received changes in design and is a little sloped.

The new C Class is among the Mercedes cars that are rear wheel driven. The overall dimensions remain the same with only a 2cm addition to its length. Besides it will be lighter than the outgoing model and that will also be making it frugal. As per more information, the C Class could also be offered in all wheel drive models as well. To be offered in petrol and diesel models, the new C Class will have an array of engine choices and the customer had the freedom to opt for any model as per the requirement. Where the petrol engine power range will be from 150 bhp to 520 hp, the diesel engine power options will be 140 hp to over 250 hp.
