New series of VTEC Turbocharged engines for Honda Vehicles
Japanese auto giant Honda Motors has declared the integration of new family of turbocharged VTEC engine series which includes 1.0 litre, 1.5 litre and 2.0 litre engines. The 1.0 litre engine will be integrated with three cylinder engine and is expected to develop the power of 125 bhp and torque of 200 Nm through direct injection turbocharging. This engine will be equipped in upcoming cars including generation next Jazz, Honda City Sedan, Mobilio MPV and compact SUV.
The 1.5 litre engine will be mounted on car with four cylinder engine and will develop the power of 201 bhp and 260 Nm and is expected to be mounted on Honda Civic and entry edition of Honda Accord. As far as specification of 2.0 litre turbocharged VTEC engine is concerned nothing has been so far revealed by company. However according to expert’s integration of 2.0 litre turbocharged engine will enhance the performance of vehicles.
Among these three forms of engines the most interesting would be to witness the performance of 1.0 litre engine which will be integrated in major products of Honda Motors. Here one thing which needs to be mentioned here that these engines will not be integrated in existing models Honda cars but will be introduced in the upcoming models.
