New Volkswagen Jetta Hybrid to debut at Detroit Auto Show
While everybody is going gaga about the upcoming Detroit auto show, the German automaker Volkswagen has just showed its intentions to jump the gun with its much talked 2013 Volkswagen Jetta Hybrid at the event taking place few weeks ahead.
Right after Volkswagen Jetta Concept debuts at NAIAS (North American International Auto Show) will go on retailing shortly. This has been motorized with a 1.4 L, turbocharged gasoline engine along with the electric support and lithium-ion battery to back it up.
The all new Jetta Hybrid is likely to produce the fuel economy of about 44 miles per gallon, which is slightly lesser than the other competition Toyota Prius, landing to Detroit too. The Honda Civic hybrid is another rivalry to the car, but on the measures of fuel economy, both stands at almost alike level.

As far as the pricing is concerned, where Toyota Prius and Honda Civic Hybrid start at $23,520 and $24,050, the coming Jetta Hybrid too is expected to cost somewhere close to both. The existing Jetta TDI costs $22,525, therefore the hybrid version 2013 should cost marginally higher to this.
The Volkswagen Jetta Coupe, which too was said to be brought in the event, is now a dropped plan, as VW’s Mexico facility which was to produce it, failed to do so due to already occupied so much with Volkswagen Golf, Volkswagen Beetle, Volkswagen Jetta sportwagon and of course the upcoming Beetle Convertible, which too is to be shown at New York Auto Show in April, 2012.
