New Volkswagen Jetta petrol launch round the corner
Volkswagen India is all set to bring in its new 2012 Jetta sedan to the Indian car market in this month itself. The new Volkswagen Jetta will come with a powerful and dynamic 1.4 TSI petrol engine that is likely to churn out great amount of the power and torque. VW introduced the Jetta 2.0 TDI in the month of September last year and now brining Volkswagen Jetta 1.4 TSI to the Indian market will fill in the absence of petrol variant in the Jetta range.

Earlier there were rumors in the market, which suggested that Volkswagen will bring in VW Jetta petrol variant with 1.8 litre TSI engine, but because of the soaring petrol prices, it was a sensible choice by VW to introduce the sedan with a smaller petrol engine. Therefore, now 2012 Volkswagen Jetta will come with 1.4 litre of TSI petrol engine is expected to produce either 122 PS of peak power along with 200 NM of peak torque or 160 Ps of power and 240 Nm of maximum torque. However, the first option is quite certain. The engine is likely to be coupled with six or may be seven speed automatic DSG gearbox in the top trim version.

The price range of the car has been still kept under the hood, but according to the fresh reports, the 2012 Volkswagen Jetta 1.4 L TSI petrol is expected to be priced between Rs. 12.50 lakh to Rs. 16.50 lakh. However, with the sky rocketing petrol prices, VW might have to bear a few losses in terms of sales. Plus the high competition in the market will give the sedan a tough fight for its life. The major competition to 2012 Volkswagen Jetta 1.4 Litre TSI petrol comprise of Honda City, Nissan Sunny, Skoda Rapid and yet to be launched 2012 Hyundai Elantra.

Volkswagen Jetta has combination of Innovative features...:)

Everything will be revealed after its launch. I am hoping that it will come with good enough features and engine power. As for me petrol prices hike is not a big issue if the petrol car is having good enough features and fuel efficient.

Stylish and sporty exteriors, luxurious interiors, high output power, decent fuel very much impressed by the overall performance of the sedan car....
