New Volkswagen Touareg launched in India at Rs 58.5 lakh
The Indian car market has been global car makers’ favorite since a long time now. Recently, Nissan launched its most awaited MPV, Nissan Evalia here and now Volkswagen is here with the 2012 Volkswagen Touareg. This stylish and powerful Touareg has been announced in the Indian car bazaar today with a hefty price tag of Rs. 58.2 lakh. The car sales will commence from September 2012 end. The price range might appear to be heavy and expensive, but the car sure has the things that would make it worth every penny spent on it.

So what is so exquisite about the car? Well, almost everything. The 2012 VW Touareg comes powered by an energetic and aggressive 3.0 litre of V6 TDI diesel engine that produces maximum power of 245PS at the rate of 3800 to 4400 rpm along with maximum torque of 550Nm at the rate of 1750 to 2250rpm. The eight speed automatic transmission is absolutely fantastic here that pushes the mileage of the car to 12.0 8kmpl. Impressive, isn’t it?

The looks of the 2012 Volkswagen Touareg is quite inspiring, which is enhanced by 18 inches of Karakum alloy wheels, panoramic sunroof, bi-xenon headlamps with LED daytime running lights and sporty roof rails. On the other hand, the comfort and convenience of the car is amplified with the presence of climatronic air conditioning system with four-zone temperature control, 14-way electrically adjustable front seats, auto hold, automatic headlamp activation with ‘coming home’ and ‘leaving home’ function, RCD 550 along with MP4 and MP3 compatibility.
