New York Auto Show 2014: BMW discloses its cards
German luxurious car maker BMW has opened its cards for upcoming New York Auto Show 2014 scheduled to be organized next month. According to sources of company apart from displaying upgraded version of Mercedes Benz X3, it will also showcase Concept X5 eDrive, 4 Series Gran Coupe followed by launch Alpina B6 xDrive Gran Coupe in North American market and global launch of BMW X4 Sports Activity Coupe.
To begin with BMW X4, in U.S market it will be launched with two engine options one with xDrive28i equipped with 2.0 liter four cylinder petrol engine churning the power of 240 hp, and the other with sDrive36i engine option powered with 3.0 litre inline six engine developing the power of 300 hp. Moving towards 4 series Gran Coupe it will be launched in the U.S market sometimes during next year and will be offered with same engine option as offered in BMW X4.
Talking about Alpina B8 xDrive Gran Coupe it will be blessed with 4.4 litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine developing the power of 540 hp and churning the power of 540 lb. The engine will be coated with 8 speed automatic transmission system. It would be interested to learn that with an objective to make BMW Alpina B6 xDrive Gran Coupe a success, company will bestow it with Alpina stainless steel exhaust system. This will bless B6 xDrive to achieve the speed from zero to standstill within the span of 3.7 seconds and top speed of 320 kmph. Another vehicle from company Concept X5 eDrive will feature company’s concept of all wheel drive system designed to deliver fuel efficient performance, it will be powered with twin turbo four cylinder engine with 95 hp electric motor.
