New Jazz unveiled by Honda in Indian Auto Expo 2014
Finally the Japanese auto giant Honda Motors has unveiled Honda Jazz hatchback in both petrol and diesel variants in Indian Auto Expo 2014. The new Jazz is same which already exists in global car market. The petrol variant is bestowed with 1.2 litre i-VTEC petrol engine churning the power of 87 bhp whereas diesel variant is equipped with 1.5 litre i-DTEC diesel engine generating the power of 98 bhp. The petrol variant is offered in both five speed manual and automatic transmission system on the other side diesel variant is provided with six speed manual gearbox. It is designed on company’s design philosophy EXCITING HIII which is makes Jazz an aggressive hatchback.
The new Jazz is designed completely on new platform and new architecture. The front fascia has been developed with new bonnet followed by thick horizontal chrome plank along with hawk eyed headlamp. The rear portion has been somewhat carried its sibling Cr-V SUV including chrome planks covering the back portion. The rear bumper is supported by matte black vents.
Like the exteriors Honda has developed interiors of Jazz on its famous Man Maximum Machine Minimum concept, with spacious cabin it carries the large dashboard from its phasing out version. The other interesting features offered in interiors include touch screen system with navigation, three spoke steering wheel with music controls integrated on it. Apart from this the interiors also offer sufficient headroom, legroom, sufficient knee space for all passengers on front and rear side. It also offers suitable boot capacity of 400 litres. It is expected that the new Jazz will compete against famous hatchbacks existing in Indian car market including Fiat Punto, Volkswagen Polo, Maruti Swift etc.
