Next generation BMW X5 launched, priced Rs. 70.95 lakh (ex-showroom price)

German car maker BMW today launched the generation next BMW X5 in Indian car market with starting price of Rs. 70.95 lakh (ex-showroom price in New Delhi). The SUV is energized with 3.0 litre diesel engine and is offered in two variants with option of seven seats. The new X5 is energized with 3.0 litre six cylinder diesel engine zooming the power of 258  bhp and torque of 559Nm. It is coated with ZF eight speed transmission system which forwards the power to both front and rear wheels.

Physically the new BMW X5 resembles to its erstwhile sibling but this time it has been developed with spacious cabin with enlarged seating capacity to offer comfort seating to seven passengers. The front fascia receives more dynamic and aggressive look followed by newly designed traditional kidney grille. The front bumper now receives L shaped air dams below the round fog lamps, the headlights and edgy grille adds a spicy taste to exteriors at front fascia. The rear of SUV is same as the erstwhile version of SUV. Apart from these changes company has made huge changes in the interiors of the SUV making it completely an enhanced version of existing X5.

The new X5 has the length of 4,886 mm, width of 1938mm and height of 1762mm which is more than the earlier version of SUV. But it would be interested to know that despite of increased dimension company has managed to keep vehicle light weighted. With new X% company speculates to re-build its new image in Indian car market.
