Next generation Ford Endeavour spied in Tamil Nadu
Spies have witnessed generation next Ford Endeavour being tested on Trivandrum roads for first time. According to reports revealed from spies the blue colored Endeavour was partly camouflaged, thus giving spies clues about the features that would be offered in Ford Endeavour 2015. In international market the SUV is being sold as Everest and is offered with two engine options of 2.2 litre four cylinder TDCi and 3.2 litre five cylinder TDCi diesel engine and it is expected that the same engine configuration would be continued in Indian car market.
On the exteriors the new Endeavour receives trapezoidal grille and projector headlamps at front fascia, new alloy wheels and OVRM mounted indicators on the side profile. It is also speculated that the Endeavour 2016 will also be offered with four wheel drive system as an optional along with its existing two wheel driver option. Apart from this to offer comfort travelling experience to passengers it has been upgraded with rear disc brakes and new coil springs.
After launch Ford Endeavour 2016 will compete against Mahindra Ssangyong Rexton, Hyundai Santa Fe, Toyota Fortuner and Chevrolet Captiva. At present in Indian car market it is brought through CKD route from Thailand and is anticipated to continue the same ongoing practice.
