Next Generation Honda City: Expected to set a benchmark in sedan segment
Since the announcement of launching the new version of Honda City in Indian car market, car enthusiasts have started speculating about the future sedan cars in Indian car market. According to them the new Honda City will set a new benchmark in sedan segment and will undoubtedly the representative of generation next car. According to sources Japanese auto maker will launch the next generation Honda City in both petrol and diesel variants. It is rumored that some of the Honda dealers have started booking of new Honda City on payment of Rs. 50,000.
It would be interested to know that Indian arm of Japanese auto maker Honda Motors India Limited is going to launch the diesel variant of Honda City in Indian car market on November 25, 2013. This diesel variant of Honda City will be tough contender to Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Vento and Rapid from Skoda. According to reports the diesel variant of forthcoming Honda City will be energized with 1.5 litre, i-DTEC engine which is similar to engine assimilated in Honda Amaze. The engine will generate the power of 120 bhp and torque of 225 Nm. It is speculated that with an objective of enhancing its performance and mileage company will integrate some technically advanced features in car.
It is reported that the Honda will offer six to eight models of Honda City in both variants. According to sources of Honda company the new Honda City will be completely different from outgoing model and will be blessed with extra size and shape. Industry experts believe that with new Honda City, company wants to bridge the gap filled which has been left by elimination of Honda Civic. Moving back to upcoming diesel variant of Honda City it is expected that it will also receive the positive response as received by Honda Amaze launched this year in April 2013.
