The Evalia MPV will be produced in India at the Nissan plant and the commercial version of it christened as Ashok Leyland Stile will be produced by the Indian auto maker Ashok Leyland. Besides, the Innova and Ertiga, the Evalia will also be targeting Mahindra Xylo in its ambit and following its big size, the Evalia is expected to perform better than all the others. Hoped to put the 1.5 L diesel engine that powers the Nissan Sunny sedan. The Nissan MPV will have a boxy appearance but following the immense space inside, it will be the best MPV in the segment that can be called as a family car.

Another important feature of the car will be its comfortable seating for seven people and the third row will also have ample space unlike the Ertiga, Innova or the Xylo. Since the MPV is powered by a tried and tested engine technology that is huge on power and high on mileage the industry is expecting a decent mileage delivery by the Evalia. However, a 20.44 kmpl as is achieved by Ertiga will not be there on the Evalia. To be jointly developed in India by Nissan and Ashok Leyland, the Evalia plant will attract a joint investment of around Rs 4000 crore and it will be Tamil Nadu.
