Nissan Leaf available at showrooms from 1st March 2012
The Nissan LEAF (Leading Environmentally friendly Affordable Family car) electric hatchback car will now be made available in all 50 states of America. Nissan Motors has directed its dealer base to start taking the booking orders from today i.e. 1st March 2012, for the five door all-electric vehicle. As per the company, the deliveries of the booked vehicle will began by summer this year. Prior to this announcement the car was only presented in the 21 states of US. The vehicle was unveiled at 2012 Auto Expo and had won many accolades in the industry. After its full-fledge approach in America, the Nissan Leaf is soon expected to see Indian sun by end of 2012.

Nissan Leaf carries a lithium ion powered battery that generates a 107 bhp electric run motor. The maximum or top speed of this ecosystem friendly car is around 90 miles per hours, while it can be driven up to 100 miles in a single/full recharge. On a regular 200 Volt outlet it takes around 8 hours for full recharge. In order, to charge the Leaf in rapid time Nissan offers a DC 50Kw quick charger that acts promptly and gets the battery 80 percent charged in a magical time of less than 30 minutes. The frugal and eco-friendly Nissan Leaf is priced at 35,200 US dollars that comes up to around INR 17 Lakh.
