Nissan NV200 coming next year, to be displayed at Delhi auto expo 2012

Nissan NV200, the upcoming multi purposes vehicle that will be jointly developed by Japanese Auto giant Nissan and country’s leading commercial vehicle maker Ashok Leyland, is scheduled to be displayed at the upcoming Delhi Auto Expo 2012. The vehicle is expected to be launched officially by the second quarter of next year.

About 20 percent units of the total production of the vehicle will be exported from India to the foreign markets. Though the company has revealed no information about the countries where the global MPV will be exported, the neighboring countries like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal may find a place in the export list.

The all new Nissan NV200 is unique in terms of styling and designing. It will come blessed with segment exclusive features like sliding back door, the feature that is not available in any other vehicle of this segment. The interior of the car is claimed to be carrying a considerable amount of space that not only provide a comfortable ride to the passengers, but also can be increased in case of extra luggage. The vehicle will be a seven seater with flexibility of adjusting seats to accommodate different kind of luggage.

The NV200 will be loaded with a 1.5L DCi CRDI engine diesel engine that is capable of delivering a peak power of 85 bhp. The major competitors of the upcoming Mahindra W201 include Mahindra Xylo, Toyota Innova and would be launched Maruti RIII in the Indian market.
