Online Configurator To Facilitate The Buyers Of Tata Harrier
Recently, on January 24, 2019, the domestic carmaker Tata Motors launched its highly awaited SUV Harrier in the Indian car market with the starting price of Rs. 12.69 lakh (ex-showroom price, Mumbai). Developed on the new OMEGA platform outsourced from Land Rover’s D8 architecture, that is also used for developing Discovery SUV by the British car maker Jaguar. Under the hood, Tata Harrier is empowered with 2.0-litre KRYOTEC diesel engine that generates the power of 138 bhp and the torque of 350Nm and mated with the six-speed manual gearbox. It is offered in four trims namely XE, XM, XT, and XZ.

Now, after the successful launch and receiving encouraging response from the auto industry, the homegrown car maker has introduced an ONLINE CONFIGURATOR on Harrier’s micro website. Also referred as “Imaginator” the configurator will facilitate the prospective buyers to have an intensive look of their preferred SUV, depending upon the trim. It will also offer the facility of selecting the compatible accessories for the exterior and interior segments. In short, it can be said that a configurator will act as an online advisor to the prospective buyers.
It would be interesting to know that the base variant of Harrier is offered with only one color option. Whereas the top end variant is embellished with the features like 8.8 inch touchscreen infotainment system, leather seats seventeen inch alloy wheels, multi-functional steering wheel, multiple driving modes and many more, that are not offered in other trims.
