Price hike for Honda City and Brio hatchback by Rs. 12000!

January 2013 will bring in sad news for all car fanatics. Many car makers will be increasing their car prices in the beginning of next year. Even Honda Motors is ready to hike the prices of its most loved cars, Honda City Sedan and Honda Brio hatchback. Recently, Honda released a statement, which said that Brio and City sedan prices will be amplified by 0.8 to 1.65%. This means that the Honda Brio hatchback base variant will now cost about Rs. 3200 to Rs. 6680 more than the current price. On the other hand, the base variant of Honda City will be increased by Rs. 5800-Rs. 12000.

As we say, every cloud has a silver lining and this idiom applies here as well. the prices of Honda cars, including Honda CR-V, Honda Civic and Honda Jazz hatchback remains the same even in January 2013. Also, Honda Motors India has some serious plans to bring in the brand new and refresh Honda CR-V to the Indian car bazaar by 2013. But on the sad part, the 2013 Honda Civic will not hit the Indian shores anytime soon.

Nonetheless, everyone in India is looking forward to the launch of Honda Brio Amaze sedan, which is also expected to arrive in 2013. This sedan was recently released in Thailand and received an amazing response here. With Brio sedan, Honda will bring in the much awaited 1.5 litre diesel engine to India. This diesel engine comes under Honda’s Earth Dreams Project and is said to be extremely fuel efficient. So far the exact launch date of Brio Amaze sedan hasn’t been finalized, but up till now the fresh reports suggest that the car will hit the Indian shores in the month of April 2013.
