Renault Lodgy debuts with price tag of Rs. 8.19 lakh (ex-showroom price)
Finally Renault India, the Indian alliance of French car maker Renault today launched its highly awaited MPV Lodgy in Indian car market with starting price of Rs. 8.19 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi) for version offered with engine tune of 85 PS. The engine boosting the power of 110PS has been offered with price tag of Rs. 10.09 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi). The MPV is empowered with 1.5 litre K9K diesel engine with two engine power tunes of 84 bhp and 109 bhp and torque of 200 Nm and 245 Nm respectively. Engine boosting the power of 84 bhp is mated with five speed manual gear transmission system while the engine with power boosting efficiency of 109 bhp is coated with six speed manual transmission system. Both the engines are endorsed to be fuel efficient versions delivering the economic performance of 21.04 kmpl and 19.98 kmpl.
The MPV is said to be the perfect match of luxurious sedan and MPV merged in one unit. Inside the cabin MPV receives dual tone color attachments with piano black central console followed by silver accents which further enhance its looks. Another features offered in this MPV are Aux-in, USB port, rear view camera, rear parking sensor, but absence of CD player may disappoint the buyers. The top end variant alike its sibling Duster gets features like touch screen infotainment system and many more. Apart from this other features offered inside the cabin include cup holders followed by 12 V charging sockets for all three seating rows. The top end variant embellishes additional features like small tray tables which can be folded at the backside of front seats. For Indian car market the MPV is equipped with roof mounted air conditioner system. Talking about the safety features adorned in Lodgy are ABS+EBD, airbags for driver and fellow passenger, and brake assist system.
With two engine power tunes of 85 PS and 110 PS, the Lodgy has been overall launched in seven variants including four trims in version with 85 PS namely standard, RxE, RxL, and RxZ. The engine with 110 PS power tune is offered in three names which have been named as RxL, RxZ (7 seater) and RxZ (8 seater).
