Renault Lodgy to Soon Get new variant & AMT
The Indian arm of French car maker Renault recently launched Gen. Next variant of Duster along with an optional AMT transmission system. Now carmaker is soon going to offer a new variant in Lodgy along with the new 6-speed Easy-R AMT transmission system to boost its sales in MPV segment in Indian Car Market which car failed to grab since its launch.
Currently, the MPV is powered by 1.5 litre dCi engine tuned with two trims boosting the power of 83 bhp and 108 bhp equipped with five-speed and six speed manual transmission system respectively. Since Duster and Renault Lodgy are developed on same ZF platform so carmaker won’t be having any trouble to introduce the Easy-R AMT transmission system in it.
The AMT version of Lodgy is likely to hit Indian streets around July, 2016 and will be likely to priced Rs. 50,000 more than the normal variant and once launch it will be competing against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and soon to be launched 2016 Innova Crysta.
