The company is now developing its new cars in India. Nissan's V-Platform might be used by Renault, for the development of new cars in India. Renault has set a target of selling 100,000 cars by the end of the year 2013. The automobile company is also working on increasing its dealerships across the country, from 14 at present to 40 by the end of this year.
Renault had earlier announced that it would launch its SUV Koleos in October. But then the company preponed it and launched it in September. Though, according to the company, it was not part of a strategy.
The company is keen on increasing the volume of sales of its cars. It is trying to cash up every opportunity coming its way. It is also promoting its brand at the first ever Indian Grand Prix. The company believes that it would have to build its brand value before its rolls out new cars next year.
