Renault Pulse launched at Rs 5.77 lakh at Auto Expo
French carmaker Renault has today launched its first hatchback car Renault Pulse in India at the Auto Expo held in New Delhi. With the launch of Renault Pulse, the company has now its presence in all the three hot segments namely, sedan with Renault Fluence, Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) through Renault Koleos followed by hatchback with current launch. The Renault Pulse priced at Rs 5.77 lakh and Rs 6.25 lakh (Ex showroom- Delhi), the base and top-end variant respectively, has heated-up the premium hatchback segment with New Maruti Swift, Ford Figo, Maruti Ritz and Hyundai i20 already battling in India. The razor-sharp version of Nissan Micra is offered in a single diesel variant that offers exceptional mileage.

The frontage has hexagon-shaped grille apart from its masculine appearance and crisply designed headlamps. The top variant Renault Pulse Rxz comes with 2+2 years/80,000 km warranty together with a lot of exciting elements like automatic climate control, alloy wheels, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter, roof spoiler dual-airbags, push start-n-stop button, rear defogger with timer along with smart access key. While the base variant Renault Pulse Rxl comes with a manual air conditioner and a driver airbag for safety measure.

The Pulse hatch comes with a solo Renault K9K 1.5L diesel engine that is capable of generating 63 bhp of maximum power and 16.3 kgm of peak torque. The vehicle provides a fuel economy of 23.08 kmpl certified by ARAI.
Two things perhaps seem to attract people towards the Renault Pulse. First, French styling and second is again the French styling as it has nothing more than that apart from being Micra-ish. However, Renault Pulse’s straight up stance compared to Micra’s low down styling will however be a plus on Indian roads.
