Revamped Nissan Magnite Launched In India

The Japanese carmaker Nissan has launched the facelift version of its best-selling compact SUV the Magnite in India with a starting price of Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom price). The top-end variant is available with a price tag of Rs 11.50 lakh (ex-showroom price). The price of the base variant is the same as the price of the base variant launched in 2020.

Under the hood, the facelift Magnite continues to come with the same existing 1.0-litre B4D naturally aspirated petrol engine, that churns the power of 72PS and the torque of 96Nm. The other engine option includes a 1.0-litre HRAO turbo-petrol engine boosting the power 99PS and the torque of 160Nm. The former comes with transmission options of a five-speed manual gear transmission system and a five-speed automatic transmission system. The latter is offered with a five-speed manual gear transmission and an option of a continuously variable transmission system. It is available with six newly introduced names including Visia, Visia+, Acenta, N-Connecta, Tekna, and Tekna+.
 
Speaking about the cosmetic changes, the exterior remains the same with notable changes including a hexagon-patterned blacked-out grille, M-shaped LED taillamps, and redesigned 16-inch alloy wheels. The colour options will include a new Sunrise Copper colour option, followed by eight monotone and five dual-tone colour options. 
 
Inside the cabin, the facelift Magnite comes with a fresh three-tone colour scheme, upgraded upholstery, and soft-touch materials throughout the cabin. The SUV is equipped with a modern touchscreen infotainment system, a wireless charger, and a newly designed configurable TFT instrument cluster. The list of other features includes a state-of-the-art air purifier capable of reducing air quality index (AQI) levels from 400 to 30 in just 20 minutes, a frameless auto-dimming interior rearview mirror, and a 360-degree camera. Safety features have also seen significant upgrades, with six airbags now standard, bringing the total to 55 safety features, 40 of which come as standard.
 
Since its launch in 2020, the Nissan Magnite has achieved impressive sales, with 150,000 units sold to date. The new model will be manufactured in India and exported to over 65 international markets in both right-hand drive (RHD) and left-hand drive (LHD) configurations, with variations tailored to meet specific regulatory requirements.
