Tata To Not Phase Out Nano Soon From Its Portfolio
According to recent reports domestic car maker Tata Motors has said that it will not phase out its hatchback Nano for some more time due to emotional attachment of the group with this small family car. Replying to an email, one of the spokespersons from wrote that "Nano plays an important role in our PV (passenger vehicle) strategy because it is our only product in the entry hatchback segment, which is a very important segment from a first time buyer point of view,"

According to the sources of company the group reviews its product strategy at regular intervals and therefore decision regarding stopping the production of Nano will be taken in the coming months and till that time the company will continue the production of Nano depending upon the demand of the customers in key markets. The sources said that there have been long discussions regarding the future of Nano MPV which was basically the dream project of Chairman Emeritus Tata Sons, Rata Tata. In the words of official source the decision regarding any product is taken on the basis of complete passenger vehicle strategy.

Oh the other side Mr. Mayank Pareek, President of passenger vehicle business unit, Tata Motors, said that the group is aiming to acquire the position in top 3 manufacturers of the passenger vehicle in the domestic car market. It would be interested to know that going through the success enjoyed by Tiago, Hexa and Tigor the company is enjoying positive growth with sales of the company increasing upto 22 percent during the financial year 2017 whereas the growth of industry has been 9 percent only.
